David Wiley

David Wiley
David Wiley is the founder and Executive Chairman of KEWA Financial Inc. as well as a Director of INIC. Dave has been the CEO of three publicly traded mining companies (Phoenix Coal, Touchstone Gold and Nighthawk Gold), and previously co-founded Labrador Capital and MHI Energy Partners. As CEO of Phoenix Coal, he oversaw the roll-up of small operators in the United States and took the company public in 2008. As CEO of Nighthawk Gold, his team assembled one of Canada’s largest (930 sq km) remaining gold camps overtop of the Indin Lake Greenstone Belt in the Northwest Territories. Dave founded KEWA Financial in 2014.
James (Jim) Falle

James (Jim) Falle
James (Jim) Falle serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk committee for KEWA Financial. He was previously the EVP & CFO of Aviva Canada, AEGON Canada, and Zurich Financial Services where he was responsible for the firm’s financial, actuarial, and risk management. He holds a B.A. in Commerce & Economics from the University of Toronto and completed the Directors Education Program at Rotman School of Management.

Scott Lampard is the Chief Executive Officer & a Director of KEWA Financial, as well as Chairman of INIC. Scott is a global banking executive with over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector. He is an original member of KEWA’s Board and investor in the company. Prior to joining KEWA’s management, he was Head of Global Banking for HSBC Canada. He has also been Chief Country Officer in Canada for Deutsche Bank, and Former Head of Capital Markets, Asia Pacific for Bank of America.

Admiral Mike Mullen, US Navy (Ret.)
Mike Mullen served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States from 2007-2011. He served on the corporate boards of General Motors from 2013-2018 and Sprint from 2013-2019. Admiral Mullen continues to serve on numerous boards including TechMet’s advisory board, Bloomberg Philanthropies, various Naval-associated foundations, and a wide array of non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the growth, development, recovery, and transition of military veterans and their families.

Rod Phillips
Rod Phillips is Vice Chairman of Canaccord Genuity Corp., a global investment bank. He served as Ontario’s Minister of Finance from 2019 to 2020, following his tenure as Minister of the Environment, Conservation & Parks (2018-19) and later as Minister of Long-Term Care (2021-22). He serves as chair of the board of directors of Toronto Global and Petal Health and is a member of the board of directors of Aecon Group Inc. Prior to his public service, Mr. Phillips was the President and CEO of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and the health and productivity company Morneau-Shepell (Lifeworks). He previously served as the chair of the board of directors of Postmedia Network Inc. and Canadian chair and member of the global advisory board of AI unicorn Afiniti.

Kevin Thomson served as Senior Executive Vice President, Strategic Matters for Barrick Gold until 2025 where he helped develop and implement the company’s corporate strategy and guide key business decisions and initiatives. Prior to joining Barrick in 2014, Mr. Thomson was a senior partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP (Davies Ward) where he was one of Canada’s leading mergers and acquisitions lawyers. Mr. Thomson also sits on OR Royalties’ board of directors.

Rob Cihra is Chief Investment Officer & Chief Strategy Officer for KEWA Financial and Indemnity National Insurance Company. Prior to joining KEWA in 2019, he was a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners and Senior Managing Director at Evercore ISI. Rob earned his BA and MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Jamie Hart
Jamie Hart is the Chief Financial Officer of KEWA Financial where he oversees corporate finance and accounting functions with over 21 years of experience across insurance, finance, and accounting. He was a Senior Manager within the Business Valuation Services Division at LBMC, PC prior to joining KEWA. Jamie holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi.

Tanya Counti is Chief Risk Officer at KEWA Financial. Prior to joining KEWA she was the Chief Control Officer at HSBC Bank Canada. Tanya has a BComm in Finance from Dalhousie University, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Gord Rider
Gord Rider is the Country Manager of INIC and Head of KEWA Canada. Prior to joining KEWA in 2022, Gord was a Vice President at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he built and launched their Marine practice across Canada. He holds a BCOMM from Dalhousie University.

Mary Claire Cox is the Corporate Controller at KEWA Financial. Prior to joining KEWA, Mary Claire was an Audit Manager at EY serving clients in their Financial Services Office. Mary Claire has a B.S. in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama.

Richard Clark
Richard Clark is Vice President of Strategy at KEWA Financial. Richard has previously served as a senior government leader and political advisor, most recently as Chief of Staff to Ontario’s Minister of Finance. He has also served as an advisor to Ontario’s Premier and in the government of former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Richard attended Dalhousie University, has a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from Carleton University, and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.

Shelley DuBose is a Regulatory Compliance Associate with a background in customer service and administrative support. She assists with compliance monitoring and documentation while bringing strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to her work. Brian Dahlke is Senior Vice President of Commercial Surety at KEWA Financial. With more than two decades of leadership in contract and commercial underwriting, he has guided teams at several Top 10 sureties. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance from Washington State University.

Kulvir Gill
Kulvir Gill, CFA, is Vice President, Mining at KEWA Financial. Kulvir was previously part of the Equity Research franchise at TD Securities covering the Metals and Mining sector. Prior to that, Kulvir was an Investment Analyst on the Power and Utilities Project Finance team at SLC Management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University and an MBA from Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Drew Byron Meadows is the Director of Claims and Coverage at KEWA Financial. He was previously a Partner at Walters Meadows Richardson, where he served as coverage and bad faith litigation counsel for several national and regional insurance companies. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Emily Lieber is a Financial Analyst at KEWA Financial. She previously served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Houlihan Lokey in the Consumer, Food & Retail group. Emily earned her B.S. in Finance from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mason Nowak
Mason Nowak is Vice President of Energy at KEWA Financial. Prior to joining KEWA, he worked at RBC Capital Markets in Global Investment Banking where he specialized in investment grade and high yield corporate bond offerings for oil & gas clients. Previously, Mason was an Associate in HSBC’s Debt Capital Markets team in Toronto, with earlier experience as an underwriter in RBC’s Canadian CMBS group. Mason graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Economics and holds a CIM® designation.

Shannon Scott is Director of Operations at KEWA Financial. Shannon builds and furthers effective interaction among clients and relationships to deliver long-term value and create opportunities for growth. Prior to joining KEWA, Shannon held a variety of roles in the mining and oil gas industry, as well as financial services. She has extensive experience in operations and administration.

Matt Schlagenhaft
Matthew Schlagenhaft is Manager of Financial Analysis and Continuous Underwriting at KEWA Financial. Before joining KEWA in 2021, Matthew worked for United Parcel Service in Nashville, TN as a Financial Analyst and for Cohn Reznick LLP in Bethesda, MD as an Assurance Associate. Matthew attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC where he obtained an M.S. and B.S. in accounting.

Mark Vancil is Head of Research at KEWA Financial. Concurrently, he is President of Williams Inference International, a business intelligence company. Mark is the founder of Rare Air Media, a publishing and marketing company. He has written and published six New York Times bestsellers and Rare Air has published more than 25 titles including those with Michael Jordan, Johnny Cash, Mario Andretti, the NBA, MLB and NFL. He also appeared in the award-winning documentary “The Last Dance.
